Coaching is an open ended process, paid by the hour. The client sets the pace, whether they want a few hours for skill building or ongoing support for decision making and body-doubling. Many clients find that 1-2 hours virtual or 1-3 hours in person is a good amount of time for each session, and will often set up a recurring weekly appointment as they declutter their space.
Organizing projects often have a defined scope; a beginning, a middle and an end. For example a client might hire me to come in and rearrange their kitchen drawers and cabinets to improve workflow. We decide together in advance what the goals of the project are and make a plan in advance. Unlike decluttering, which requires decision making from the client, organization can be done independently by the organizer.
No! Your privacy is important and all client information is kept confidential. The only exceptions are those required by law, such as court subpoenas and mandatory reporting of harm to children and vulnerable adults.
Problems with clutter and disorganization are much more common than most people think, and I've found that most people struggling with clutter are smart, creative and have interesting professions and/or hobbies and interests.
What you keep in your home is completely up to you. My goal is to help you make your space work for you and your priorities. For some this might mean getting down to ten items of clothing to make space for their pottery equipment. For others it might mean turning a guest room into a giant clothing closet and dressing room.
The goal of any decluttering and organizing project is to make the space you have work for you and your life.

I specialize in decluttering and chronic disorganization. I am not qualified to offer in depth office productivity consulting and organization. I don't have expertise, equipment or personnel for serious hoarding situations.
Look for someone who has services aligned with your needs. Some, like Space For Living, specialize in clutter reduction, the emotional issues around clutter, downsizing, and organizing to suit your lifestyle and needs. Others specialize in areas such as organization from a design/ aesthetic perspective, business and office filing and organization, project managing a move, or hoarding situations.
There are various certifying bodies for professional organizers as well such as NAPO and ICD that can provide you with more information.
I work with residential clients of all ages and stages of life who want their homes to feel and function better for them.
Space For Living's pay what you can is intended to make help with challenging clutter more accessible. It's a bit like a sliding scale, except that I don't ask for your income or tax return information. If my usual rate is a barrier, I'll ask what you can afford to pay to establish the hourly rate for our work.
Check out the "resources" tab for books and online sources to learn more about decluttering and organization.
